SuperSport go all out for Commonwealth Games

The 2010 Commonwealth Games will be broadcast across a number of channels on SuperSport, ensuring DStv viewers don’t miss a minute of the action.

SuperSport 5, 6 and 7 will broadcast both live action and highlights from India from as early as 5am until well past midnight. The Games run from October 3-14. SuperSport 4 will showcase select events and daily highlights.A seven-strong SuperSport crew will travel to Delhi , including presenters James Wokabi and Crystal Arnold. Both have ample major event experience, with Wokabi, from Kenya , a former CNN African Journalist of the Year winner. They will tell the story of Africa ’s participation, interviewing athletes and bringing up-to-the-minute news to viewers.The day’s action will be wrapped up at 8pm daily (SS5 and HD) with a one-hour highlights show. “We’ve had to install a new satellite dish on campus to accommodate the feeds, but we were happy to do so,” said Tex Teixeira, SuperSport’s head of channels. “Events such as the Commonwealth Games traditionally draw Africans together, so we are delighted to be able to play our part.”DStv viewers can tune in for all the action from the Commonwealth games, live from Dehli from October 4 – 14.
