At the prestigious Arusha’s Mount Meru hotel set in black lay five glasses of Scotch whisky of the iconic Johnnie Walker House. Each glass had contents of Green, Gold, Red, Black and Blue label, the ultimate among Walker brands.
Serengeti Breweries Limited (SBL), through its iconic premium Scotch whisky Johnnie Walker conducted the fourth Johnnie Walker Mentorship Program in Arusha today in style, class, sophistication.
Johnnie Walker Whisky is the most widely distributed brand of blended Scotch whisky in the world, which is sold in almost every country with yearly sales of over 130 million bottles.The Johnnie Walker Mentorship mentoring and tasting session is an opportunity to immerse the guests into the unique and sophisticated world of the Johnnie Walker and give them an appreciation of what each of the different variants of the brand is made from, how it is made, how to drink it and in what occasions. This unique journey was seen in the last three sessions, and will be seen through by two trained Johnnie Walker mentors Gerald Hando and Ssebo.
At Mount Meru wherever Johnnie walked, walked Dennis Ssebo, the Johnnie Walker Whiskey mentor interacting with the crowds, asking them about their experiences, their thoughts and the obviously the tastes and colour of the various brands. He was also interested in hearing what people had to say about the whiskey.
‘The purpose of the mentorships is to denote the different types of scotch different occasions. For example, Johnnie Walker Blue Label is rare and expensive, and so it is intended for special occasions.’ Dennis Ssebo Johnnie walker mentor and famous radio personality said,
According to the Spirits manager at SBL, Benjamin Mariki, “This is the fourth significant consumer tasting program Johnnie Walker has embarked on in Tanzania since the JW mentorship program started on the 10th of March at Mlimani City. We celebrate how far we each have come in our lives; in business, socially and at our jobs, today we come together to celebrate personal achievement and progression.’
The mentorship took guests thr ough Johnnie Walker’s journey right from the brewery to one’s glass, a process that has been appreciated for more than 150 years. The Marketing Manager of SBL, Ms. Moses Kebbah said “As part of Diageo Inc, Serengeti Breweries (SBL) is now the official distributor of the whole range of the House of Walker brands,”
The Johnnie Walker Mentorship Program commenced on the 10th of March at Mlimani City Conference and through the past months, Johnnie walked to Dar-es-salaam and Dodoma thrilling whiskey enthusiasts with great tales of his legend, the history of the great whiskey, and most importantly, tips on how to savor the taste of the Johnnie Walker brands. In the coming months, the striding man will be paying visits to different cities around Tanzania including; Mwanza and Tanga to share the Johnnie Walker experience with a few of the lucky invites in their respective cities.
