Namibia’s Meryl became the 10th Housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother All Stars house during Sunday night’s live Big Brother All Stars Eviction Show (26 September at 200 EATon DStv Channel 198). The show kicked off with three former housemates, Leonel, Mimi and Kwaku, rocking the stage. Clad in glamorous gear, the Big Brother Africa alumni took to the stage and belted out their hit collaboration called 'As I am,' taken off Kwaku's latest album.Leonel from Mozambique , who happens to be a Deejay now, joined them and worked the turntables while Mimi and Kwaku pranced around the stage like the true professionals they are. Both of them had their flags in hand and interacted very well with the audience, who seemed to be enjoying every moment of the exclusive performance. Also in the show, viewers got to see messages the Barnmates received earlier in the week from their friends and families from back home. IK also gave viewers an insight on the week that was. In the house, the week started off with Meryl and Mwisho wanting to get married. This week also saw Housemates display their flower arranging and design skills during the weekly task, the flowers were then donated to the elderly at Jordan House in Johannesburg . The week ended with a surprise visit from Meryl’s aunt and uncle as well as Mwisho’s brother who attended the couple’s engagement party arranged by Big Brother. Meanwhile in the Barn Paloma is frustrated that some of the Barnmates aren’t taking their chores seriously. The week kicked off with the dramatic arival of Jen and the subsequent visit of an ex-boyfriend. Barnmates also had some fun in the swimming pool as well as prepare for their weekly task. Next, as per usual during Eviction night, IK asked the current Head of House to address his fellow Housemates and the rest of the African continent and reveal who they had swapped themselves withMunya dutifully rose to his feet and did not look to be painstakingly searching for words to explain this Week’s switch, while the rest of the All Stars huddled around the television. He started by congratulating the newly engaged couple and then explained how he had been put up so many times, so the first chance he got, he had to save himself. "I switched myself and put Meryl up," he said confidently. The gang did not look too shocked and told Munya he would go upstairs, pack and bring Meryl's suitcase down.Munya said it was not going to happen because it was a known ritual that everyone one does their own job. Meryl revealed how she had packed already anyway. Just twenty four hours ago, Meryl and Mwisho got engaged in front of their relatives and millions of Big Brother viewers across Africa in glamorous fashion. If Meryl leaves tonight, it could spell one of the most emotional exits seen yet. Then it was back to business and after the results of this week’s viewer vote were delivered by the Alexander Forbes representative and IK delivered the continent’s verdict. Then it was time to announce who was leaving the Big Brother All Stars house this week. When IK came onto the lounge screen, he asked if everyone was fine, to which Mwisho responded "No." IK did not waste any time and went straight into it. As soon as he called Meryl's name, she opened her eyes wide and put her drink down. When IK finally made the announcement, Uti looked to be the most shocked. Meryl Mwisho and the two kissed for one last time. Uti sat stunned on the couch and clenched his jaw, looking like he was about to burst into tears. Meryl was calm and gave Munya a long hug and the two professed they would see each other at the Finale. Uti and Meryl hugged for a long time, prompting Mwisho to say "I will punch someone. Give her back to me." Meryl told Mwisho to keep her flag, while Uti mused "This does not make sense." As soon as they all headed outside, Meryl and Mwisho said their final goodbyes, where after Mwisho gave the bodyguards a firm reminder, accompanied by an air kick: "Don't touch her." With that, Meryl disappeared behind the big blue doors!Another highlight in the show was a performance by Kevin and Elizabeth, featuring Stitch as the hype man and lyricist, the recently engaged former Big Brother Housemates jumped on the stage and stunned the crowd with an inspired performance.Clad in military gear, Kevin gave Jay Z a run for his money, while Swagga Girl Elizabeth fit the Beyonce role to the tee. The three rocked the stage and as soon as Meryl was herded out of the House, Mimi took to the stage for a performance with her countryman, Kwaku T that had the crowd singing along. The Revolution's Emma also gave Africa a taste of her pop star ways, with a sizzling performance. As Meryl joined IK on stage, he asked her how it felt like to be engaged. To which Meryl replied, “ Err, awesome especially to a guy like Mwisho.” Next IK asked Meryl what her strategy was in the house. To which Meryl responded, “ Well you know IK I came in with the same strategy that I came in last time. I was going to be myself, I was going to enjoy myself.”Next IK question Meryl about the man in her life, wanting to know when the romance blossomed. Meryl responded by saying her and Mwisho had a connection since his season of Big Brother, “we never came together but Big Brother gave us that opportunity and we knew from day one.” concluded Meryl.Next it was time for Meryl to deliver her own Dagger to the housemate of her choice. And as an incentive for being the last female in the house, Big Brother awarded Meryl with two Daggers, the first which went to Uti who must lay the table and make the boys sit down to dinner every day and the second to Mwisho who must bake bread daily. Before showing Meryl highlights of her stay in the house, IK asked her to reveal her secret to the housemates. Having managed to keep it safe she will be taking home US$1000. “Obviously Housemates have tried to get this one, Um and it was in the past, but I’ve had relationship with a celebrity in Namibia who was married,” Meryl divulged to Housemates. Then it was time for Meryl to head to the Barn. As soon as the big blue door flew open, Meryl walked into the Barn yard and was shocked to see the chickens and Juliette the cow. A visibly surprised Meryl peered into the Diary Room and gave Juliette the side eye, telling IK, "I hope I do not have to live here." IK encouraged her to familiarise herself with the place, which she tried to do, making sure to keep a watchful eye over Juliette. "I hope the cow is tied down," she said. "I don't like animals."The Barnmates were caught off guard but managed to keep quiet long enough for her to walk up to the Barns main entrance. They scurried upstairs while she went to the tool shed and stated "No alcohol? Honestly!" She sat outside and smoked, talking to herself all the while. She looked like she was about to cry and stated how she needs Mwisho right now. "Baby I need you right now," she said. "I can’t do this Big Brother. I'm going to die. I need an emergency Diary Session," she said. Apart from keeping their favourite housemate in the game, viewers also stand to win great prizes each week by simply voting.
