JAZZ lovers in Dar es Salaam will this weekend get an experience of a life time as an American saxophonist Bobby Ricketts and Al Campos a new solo artist perform sensational and memorable compositions at the Kempinski Hotel.
The Skin-Skin album producer who has also performed along side other world famous jazz artistees that include Jocelyn Brown, Randy Crawford, Al Jarreau, Kele LeRoc, Fred Wesley, Roger Whitaker, Paul Young and many others is expected to perform to his very best this weekend.
According to the show coordinator Herry Bomani and Managing Director BOHMIA , Ricketts is expected to jet in the country this Friday along with his full band ready to entertain jazz lovers.
‘We expect Ricketts to jet in on Friday together with all his band members. We expect jazz lovers to turn up in large numbers to give support to the jazz music star.
“This will be a memorable experience especially at this time when we are winding up the year” he said
He said Tickets for the show will be on sale at 40,000/= in advance and 50,000/= on the night while tickets are available at the hotel.
Rickets started his career in Boston distancing himself musically from the rest of the pack at an early age and winning numerous awards at school-to-school jazz band competitions. He was voted 'Musician of the Year' by the Massachusetts Music Educators Association during his senior year in high school and later that year chosen as one of the finest musicians on the entire eastern coast of the United States.
