Jubilee Insurance CEO Tanzania, George Allande officiate the product during the lauche ceremonyat Serena Hotel in Dar es Salaam.Aga Khan Health Service Tanzania and Jubilee Insurance Company launches “Jilinde Afya” Jilinde Afya, Protect your Health, is an affordable healthcare insurance product that provides comprehensive preventative and curative health coverage to both individuals and families.
This product was born from the need to not only create easier access to healthcare services but also to provide access to quality healthcare services. The Aga Khan Health Services holds itself accountable to a high standard of care and expertise, and prides itself on the quality of services it delivers.
This insurance product is available through Jubilee Insurance Company, Tanzania. Speaking during the launch in Dar es Salaam recently the Jubilee Insurance CEO George Allande said “Jilinde Afya” can be used at any Aga Khan Health Services facilities in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Mbeya, Morogoro, Iringa, and Dodoma.

Allande added that Jilinde Afya is a very unique plan and provides unlimited consultations (including for chronic care) at the outpatient family medicine level and emergency care. Additionally, also the inpatient limit has no restrictions on the amount that can be used towards chronic care.
The Aga Khan Health Services in Tanzania, a not for profit health care system, has a rich and established history of sustained contribution to the development of health care in Tanzania where it has been present since 1929. Jubilee Insurance Company, Tanzania has been servicing the community since 1937. Given that both institutions have an aligned vision and goals, a partnership was formed.
Recognizing that 1% of the Tanzanian population is covered under private insurance; Aga Khan and Jubilee have successfully come together to offer an affordable health insurance plan. This will ensure that more Tanzanians are protected and more importantly have access to quality care when they need it the most.
