MISS WORLD 2010 NEWS….

Shopping can be a tiring experience at the best of times. But when you take 120 beautiful young women shopping in the packed streets of old Shanghai, it is always going to be a little crazy. That was the experience when the contestants in this year’s Miss World walked the streets of Shanghai after lunch at an old fashioned restaurant where they had enjoyed some traditional crafts such as Beijing opera, paper cutting, dumpling making and some fun games with chopsticks. In the end, the traditional buildings and character of the district grabbed their attention more than the shops and the girls were too busy taking photographs to window shop – even if the crowds had allowed!Serbia said: “After visiting the modern EXPO, it is good to walk the old streets and see such traditional buildings. I have some lovely photographs to show my friends back home in Serbia. This is like walking on a movie set.”Honduras added: “It is so busy here but the people are really friendly and not crushing us at all. They seem really happy just to get close and see us, which is unusual for us but it is quite exciting. We’re getting used to the attention now.”After the visit to old Shanghai, the contestants headed to the airport for the night flight to Sanya, home of Miss World in China.
